      Hello, @jonathantan,

I hope this message finds you well. I understand that you are currently experiencing an issue with the “PORTO POST GRID” widget on your WordPress website, specifically related to the filtering of posts within certain categories. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, and I’m here to help you troubleshoot and resolve the problem.

To ensure we cover all possible causes and solutions, let’s go through a step-by-step process:

      1. Verify Category Settings:

Firstly, let’s confirm that the categories in question are properly assigned to the posts you wish to filter. Please navigate to your WordPress dashboard and go to “Posts” > “Categories.”

Check if the problematic categories exist and if the posts you want to display are assigned to them. Ensure that the categories have been assigned correctly to the corresponding posts.

      2. Clear Widget Cache:

Sometimes, caching can cause conflicts and prevent the widget from functioning as expected. To rule out this possibility, clear the cache for your website.

If you have a caching plugin installed, such as WP Super Cache or W3 Total Cache, navigate to the plugin settings and clear the cache.

Additionally, if your hosting provider has server-side caching, reach out to their support team for assistance in clearing the cache.

      3. Check Widget Configuration:

Let’s review the configuration of the “PORTO POST GRID” widget to ensure that the settings are correctly set up.

Edit the page where the widget is placed and locate the “PORTO POST GRID” widget.

Check the widget settings and confirm that the categories you want to filter are selected correctly.

Ensure that no other conflicting filters or settings are interfering with the widget’s functionality.

      4. Test on Another Page:

To determine if the issue lies specifically with the page where the widget is currently placed, try adding the “PORTO POST GRID” widget to a different page.

Configure the widget with the same settings as the problematic page and test if the filtering works correctly there.

If the widget functions as expected on the new page, it may indicate a conflict with the existing page or its content.

Please follow these steps carefully, and feel free to ask any questions or seek clarification at any stage of the troubleshooting process. Remember to keep backups of your website before making any significant changes.

The same thing is working fine on our test site: https://blackpearlspro.com/porto_support_pro/aizazteamsc/ at the bottom of the page I have set the same widget with the same configuration. You can confirm it’s working fine so there is no issue with the theme or with the widget. The issue only persists on your site post categories or in the posts.

I am confident that by following these steps, we will be able to identify the cause of the issue and work toward a resolution. If you require any further assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

      Best Regards,
      PThemes Team.
