Hello,
I have created a Post Type from Porto Templates Builder to show only Categories, As show here: https://pasteboard.co/SenEW5nOLvt2.png
And then i created new page for appear Categories in it, So user can click in any category in this page and go to Shop page to display the products related to this category, So i have used “Porto Posts Grid” and choose my new post type i was created before, And choose ‘Terms’ as “Content Source”, and choose ‘Product Categories’ as “Taxonomy”.
Everything seems good, But when i view the page i see Sub-Categories appear in the bottom of page, See here: https://pasteboard.co/u9Lps4hu7tLE.pngNow Please i want to hide all Sub-Categories from my Category page, How can do that?
Thank you
May 6, 2024 at 7:55 am #6731Hello, @admin-0784,
Alright, You just created a custom post type for the Category “It’s Fine”
You have used the PORTO POST Grid widget to show the category on the page “It’s Fine”
You have set your custom layout and choose the settings to show the categories “it’s Fine”
But now it is showing the sub-category that you want to remove, For this you can simply choose/select the categories one by one that you want to show on the page because if you don’t choose in the terms, it will pull all the categories and sub-categories to show. Check this screenshot to understand better: https://postimg.cc/XpzKjDpz
We hope it helps.

PThemes Team.May 6, 2024 at 11:38 am #6744THANK YOU, Worked fine.
Now in the shop page, i used PORTO POST Grid widget and select ‘Product List Type’, And choose ‘Posts’ as “Content Source”, and choose ‘Products’ as “Post Type”, and choose ‘All’ as “Product Status”, and choose ‘All’ as “Taxonomies”.
https://postimg.cc/p5jTkKnVNow when i select any category in categories page, All the products show instead of products related to the selected category.
i have tried several products widgets available in Elementor, and all worked fine, but i like to use that one from Porto.
So please how to make the ‘Product List Type’ select the products dynamically based on selected category?
Thank you

May 6, 2024 at 3:06 pm #6754Hello, @admin-0784,
Actually, for the shop page layout, we do not recommend using the PORTO Post grid widget because it will show static content. For the dynamic content, we recommend you use the “Type builder Archive” widget: https://postimg.cc/jwqLYXsd

PThemes Team.May 6, 2024 at 4:57 pm #6759Big thanks, it is really Works,
Please i have a request from development team:
In the next updates, can you add please to page layout, and also in templates builder, THREE pages instead of two:
1. Product Archive Page Template (To sort all categories, (+) (OR) sub-categories ‘can select from options’ )
2. Product Shop Page Template (To sort all products related from above category page)-> Main Shop Page
3. Single Product Template (To display the product selected from the shop page)Porto Theme now have just Two pages:
1. (Product Archive Page + Product Shop Page) Porto are merged them to one page layout, and it only sort Products.
2. Single Product page. For me, i forced to use Plugins like (ShopLentor), because it can organize these Three pages separate, and it can force WooCommerce to accept it.
Thanks in advanced

May 7, 2024 at 6:42 am #6768Hello, @admin-0784,
You are requesting for these layouts:
1. Product Archive Page Template (To sort all categories, (+) (OR) sub-categories ‘can select from options’ )
2. Product Shop Page Template (To sort all products related from the above category page)-> Main Shop Page
3. Single Product Template (To display the product selected from the shop page)Our theme has two, for now, a Product archive and a single product. The product archive is the one for the shop and categories pages as well. You can set multiple layouts in the product archive for the shop page and category page and set them on the specific pages you want using the display condition button: https://www.portotheme.com/wordpress/porto/documentation/display-condition/ This is how it works.
Further, if you still want it you can submit this as a feature request on our forum: https://www.portotheme.com/forums/topic/feature-request/
