Hi Aizaz,
I built out a product template called “Main Product Template”, I followed your video tutorial on youtube. I think I set everything up ok.
When I click on theme options for the product layout, then load it in elementor it gives me the error:
“you must call “the_content” function in the current template, in order for elementor to work on this page”
Looking for advice how to proceed, thanks!

The issue you encountered was due to the absence of the product tabs element. Let me explain why.
Product tabs include the Description tab, which allows you to edit the product description on the single product page using the page builder. Without the product tabs element, Elementor couldn’t find the description to edit, resulting in that error. I’ve added the product tabs element to the layout, and now you can edit it. Please see the attached screenshots for reference.

Is there any way in the future I can remove dependency on that section? I’ll probably make it all custom from scratch.
September 25, 2024 at 4:39 am #22360Hello, @chrishayes,
You’re welcome!
To eliminate the dependency in that section in the future, I recommend submitting your suggestion as a feature request on our forum here: https://www.portotheme.com/forums/topic/feature-request/. This way, our development team can review it and consider it for future updates to the theme. Thank you!
Best Regards,
