Hi! I am receiving tons of spam emails. But when I try to install some recaptcha plugin (I tested lots of them) none seems to work: your login form does not allow me to access and other forms like reset password, etc, does not show the recaptcha.
Please, I need a solution against spam, do you have any recommended plugin? Why your theme is that incompatible with recaptcha?
By the way, I tried both v2 and v3 recaptcha.
And this is why I opened my last ticket saying your reset password system does not work. It is not only that, you have a very important incompatibility with google recaptcha.
This field is Private Content.
July 15, 2023 at 4:18 pm #1919Hello, @marianogi,
First of all, Thanks for the detailed explanation of your issue. I can understand the importance of website security. I am glad to tell you that our theme is compatible with the “Nextend Social Login and Register” plugin you can try to use this plugin and I hope it works fine for you. Here is the link to the plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/nextend-facebook-connect/
Simply download and install the plugin on your site. But Please take a complete backup of your site first. Further, here is the plugin documentation link to understand how to configure the plugin settings and how it works on the site: https://nextendweb.com/nextend-social-login-docs/documentation/

PThemes Team.July 17, 2023 at 12:44 pm #1935Hi, thank you for your response, but that is not a captcha plugin. It is a plugin that force the users to have a social account to register! I don’t want that at all. I don’t want people to have a social profile to buy in my store, who would?
Is this your only solution for spam? Really? isn’t there any other solution? captchas are globally accepted, why Porto does not?July 17, 2023 at 2:37 pm #1936Hello, @marianogi,
Thank you for reaching out to the PORTO WordPress theme support team. We appreciate your interest in integrating Google reCAPTCHA into your website’s login and registration forms. While we understand the importance of this feature for enhancing security, we would like to inform you that we have not officially tested any specific plugin for this purpose with our theme.
However, we have a few recommendations and suggestions for you to consider:
1. Third-party Plugins: You are welcome to explore and use any third-party plugin of your choice for implementing Google reCAPTCHA on your website. Please keep in mind that since these plugins have not been specifically tested with the PORTO theme, we recommend consulting with the plugin developer or thoroughly reviewing user feedback to ensure compatibility and optimal performance.
2. Customization: Alternatively, you may consider working with a developer to customize the theme’s code to integrate Google reCAPTCHA directly into your login and registration forms. Our customization team is available to assist you with this process, offering their expertise and paid services to meet your specific requirements: https://www.portotheme.com/customization/
We understand that security is of utmost importance to you, and we want to ensure that you implement a solution that best suits your needs. If you have any further questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us. We’re here to assist you throughout the process.
Best Regards,
PThemes Team.July 17, 2023 at 3:27 pm #19371.- tried all popular plugins. didn’t work. You should know that: you changed the registration/login system so you know this incompatibility. You have eliminated the possibility of working with captchas. Don’t you think this is very important?
2.- do you have any documentation so I can customize those registration/login/lost password forms?
Seems to me that you have no help to bring, leaving me with spammers and no solutions. Or paying you an extra (I’m sorry but it seems a bit extortive to me) to solve this security issue.
I think I am never trust Porto again (after buying 5 licenses). So many problems, so much time wasted.
July 18, 2023 at 4:36 pm #1956Hello, @marianogi,
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused. We would like to inform you that our theme is fully compatible with captcha functionality. In fact, there are numerous websites utilizing the Porto theme, including PORTO sites, that successfully incorporate a captcha. To see an example, please visit portotheme.com, where you will find a captcha implemented. You can refer to this screenshot for further confirmation: [https://postimg.cc/GB6zqsqp].
We recommend utilizing the “Simple Google Recaptcha” and “Simple Cloudflare Captcha” plugins, which have proven to be effective solutions. You can find these plugins at the following locations:
Simple Google Recaptcha: [https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-google-recaptcha/]
Simple Cloudflare Captcha: [https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-cloudflare-turnstile/]By implementing either of these plugins, we are confident that you will no longer encounter any similar issues in the future.
Thank you for your understanding in this matter. Should you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out.
We wish you a pleasant day.
Best Regards,
PThemes Team. -
