Hi Aizaz,
Thanks for the reply and your efforts so far.
I think we are going in circles…!
You have removed the hover effect that I wish to use. The Post Type FP-CATEGORIES works as expected in it’s place on the home page of the site where it has been placed as an elementor block.
However, if you navigate to a shop page, you will see the subcategories laid out with a different hover effect and not using any of the styling associated with the post type in use on the SHOP archive template that uses post type FP-CATEGORIES.
For exmample, go here – /product-category/polythene-products/
You will see the subcategories laid out. But the grid is not using any styling selected in the post type FP-CATEGORIES. This is the crux of the problem. This page is created using the product archive SHOP in porto templates builder.
I have disabled all the plugins apart from Porto, Woo and Elementor. The studio option is still not working? This is a recent development as I was using this until a few days ago. Nothing has been updated on the server side.
I rolled back to elementor 3.19.x and some options came back. Some odd things going on.
Not sure if this is related, but since a recent update, if I try to create a new Porto Post Type, I am no longer given the Porto Studio option.
I have changed the category images to avoid confusion.
Another option that should not be showing on the subcategory pages is the product count. This was removed from the post type FP-CATEGORIES. But as you can see, even in your screen shots, this is showing.
I have updated the porto theme.
Many thanks
One easy check is to hover over the image in the category page. It should not zoom.
Hi,
I’m a little confused.
Those screenshots are showing that the pages are NOT showing the options and styling as per the FP-CATEGORIES post type.
Ignore the category images that contain a blue bar built in. The post type should create this using CSS.
Please use the category example I posted.
Many thanks

You must be logged in to view attached files.Hi Aizaz,
I think we are talking about something different.
I have migrated the content. I was talking about styling.
To preserve this I used the import/export tool in ‘Theme Options’. I’m not sure why you said the theme lacks this function as it is there. I downloaded the file from staging and uploaded to the live site.
This is what was missing in your steps. I was hoping to help someone who might come across a similar issue.
Thanks
Thanks for the reply,
Your steps preserved the licence but all styling was lost as I experienced before.
You missed out the ‘Import/Export’ JSON download step as this contains custom settings and CSS.
Hi,
Not sure if this is a solution but I rolled back Elementor to V3.19.2 and the widget panel is now populated.
Cheers,
RJ
