I use Porto across multiple client sites. One of them has not yet updated to WPB 7.0, and another one has. Now the back-end interface looks different between the two. The one that has NOT updated still retains the Porto-style branding with Poppins font, and when you try to add an element to a page, it features 6 columns of elements in the pop-up window. The latest WPB version 7.0, however, no longer applies the Porto style, or the Poppins font, and it only features 4 columns of elements in the pop-up window when you click the + to add an element to the page.
I’m wondering if this is strictly a WPB thing, if everything is fine – it just has a new look, or if this is signaling that Porto has not yet fully integrated with WPB 7.0, and we should wait to update that plugin.
I just installed a brand new license of Porto and was given WPB 7.0 on that site, so I am assuming that this is just the new look and everything works? I’m not a big fan of it – much preferred the 6 columns of WPB elements and the integrated feel with the Poppins font.
Any context or clarification you can provide would be much appreciated. I’ve attached both version visuals so you can see what I’m talking about.

It appears that the changes you’re seeing in the back-end interface between the two sites are related to the WPBakery Page Builder version. The differences in style, font, and the number of columns of elements in the pop-up window are likely due to updates made by WPBakery themselves, not Porto Themes.

Thank you! Will provide a link for login (temporary admin access link) in the private area.
The font change is solely within WPBakery. It’s like it is overriding the settings you previously had, if that helps.
The site I’m giving you access to is brand new – I’ve done nothing to configure it yet other than install the theme and get it set up with a child theme. There’s a sample page you can use to see the issue I’m talking about.
Eager to hear what you can do. Thanks!September 14, 2023 at 7:09 pm #2639
Thank you for getting in touch with us. We appreciate your inquiry.
We have noted that the link you provided for login redirection leads to a sample page and does not permit access to the backend of the admin panel, as illustrated in this image link: https://postimg.cc/DJDx4FmF
Could you please be so kind as to share the wp-admin URL and access details within the private content area of this topic instead of the temporary login link? This will enable us to thoroughly investigate the issue on the site and provide you with the necessary assistance.
Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated. We look forward to resolving the issue promptly.

Hi – That’s odd. The temp admin login link should work. I tested it as well, and I go straight to the dashboard under temporary access. Are you sure you copied/pasted the entire link?
I’ll also provide you with a user login instead, but I would appreciate it if you could let me know if you try the temp link again. It should work.

I think the problem with the temp link is that your interface is cutting off the end of the link so you can’t copy the whole thing. At any rate, it does work – but you probably can’t see the whole link. It’s ok – just use the other login. Thx.September 15, 2023 at 6:58 pm #2652
Thank you for providing the access link. I can confirm that it is now functioning properly, allowing me to investigate the issue on your website.
I have successfully configured the font typography to “Poppins” within the theme settings, and it appears to be functioning flawlessly, as evidenced by the attached images below.
To ensure that you observe the changes on your website, I kindly recommend clearing your browser cache and revisiting the site.

Hi – thanks for the reply. I wasn’t referring to the overall font not being poppins. I was referring to the WP-Bakery back end font not being in Poppins anymore with the latest WPB update. I thought that was what you were going to investigate. It used to look aligned with the theme, and it does not anymore. (In addition to the changes in the number of columns, etc, which I understand is likely a WPB change you cannot control.) Why does the latest update override the back end font of Poppins? Please refer to attached graphics. One shows the appearance and Poppins font on the back end of WPB version 6, and the other shows how it changed with WPB7. I assumed that because you could override the look before with the font, you’d still be able to do so. Is that not the case?

Thank you for providing details on the issue. It has come to our attention that there have been notable design and font style changes in the backend editor following the latest version of WP Bakery.
Regrettably, these modifications have altered the user interface, and it is no longer possible to revert to the previous design via theme settings.
To address this matter, we recommend exploring the plugin support forums or reaching out to WP Bakery’s dedicated support team for further guidance and assistance. We understand the importance of a consistent user experience, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
Please feel free to reach out if you have any additional questions or concerns. Thank you for your understanding and patience in this matter.

Thanks, I’ll check their forums and see what they say. I just wanted to be sure that it’s not going to affect functionality or cause any other issues. If it’s strictly appearance-related, I’m okay with that.September 20, 2023 at 7:19 am #2680
I trust this message finds you well. I would like to inform you that they plan to implement a design/layout update for the plugin. This update is intended to enhance the overall aesthetic appeal and user experience, without any impact on the platform’s core functionality.
We are confident that the plugin support team will be able to offer valuable assistance during this process. We greatly appreciate your support and look forward to providing an improved user interface for your continued enjoyment of PORTO.
Thank you for your understanding, and please do not hesitate to reach out should you have any questions or require further information. I wish you a wonderful day ahead.
