I can see here https://www.portotheme.com/wordpress/porto/shortcodes/shortcodes/products-filter/ that it’s possible to get a price slider in Porto Products Filter element. But how do I get the slider? I can only get static price ranges that I input manually.
November 1, 2023 at 1:28 pm #3256Hello, @stianand,
Thanks for your contact.
The element “Porto Products Filter” only shows the price to filter with a dropdown or list. This is the default functionality of the element.
The price filter slider only works in the sidebar of the Shop/Category pages with the Filter Product By Price Widget.

A related question. Is it possible to set up a page that’s not the shop page, but for example a page for a certain category and add a filter to it? I have tried that, but when I try to use the filter, it takes me to another page (shop page?) instead of just filtering on the page I´m currently onNovember 6, 2023 at 11:15 am #3320Hello, @stianand,
We apologize for any inconvenience you may have encountered. It’s important to note that our filter and pagination functionality is designed to operate exclusively on the default archive pages for both products and categories. These features will not function as expected on non-default archive pages. Implementing the necessary changes for these pages would entail customization, which falls outside the scope of our standard support policy.
If you require enhanced functionality for non-default archive pages, we recommend exploring third-party plugins available in the WordPress marketplace. However, please be aware that using such plugins comes with its own set of risks, which you should evaluate before proceeding.
Should you have any further questions or require additional assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are here to support you to the best of our abilities.

So it’s not possible to make a online store like in this page https://www.pgatoursuperstore.com ?
Here when you click on a link (category?) in the meny, it displays only the corresponding products.November 7, 2023 at 1:28 pm #3328Hello, @stianand,
Certainly, you have the capability to create a page within the Porto theme that displays categories exclusively. When a user clicks on a specific category, it will direct them to a dedicated category page, featuring only products relevant to that category.
To accomplish this, you can follow these steps:
Create a new page within your Porto theme.
Incorporate the Porto Product Categories widget into this page.
For more detailed information on how to utilize the Porto Product Categories widget, please refer to the following link:

PThemes Team.November 7, 2023 at 3:10 pm #3329Is it possible to use Porto Product Categories widget with Elementor? The documentation you linked to only refers to Gutenberg and WPBakery?
November 8, 2023 at 8:49 am #3332Hello, @stianand,
Certainly, the Porto Product categories widget is also accessible within Elementor. I encourage you to give it a try, as it may effectively address your concerns.

PThemes Team.November 8, 2023 at 10:45 am #3345Ok. I had to deactivate full site editing to access it.
I´m sorry for being slow, but I have yet another question.
I want to make separate pages for separate categories.
So, let´s say I have a category for Shoes. I want to select “Shoes” from the menu, or top bar. And that will take me to the shoe page. And on that page, I want to be able to filter the selection by for example woman’s, brand, color and so on.How can I accomplish this?
Thanks, and I apologies for all the questions
November 8, 2023 at 2:59 pm #3349Hello, @stianand,
First of all, Thanks for your understanding. Now regarding the category issue that you asked let me answer it.
Settings a category page into the menu is quite easy. Go to the Dashboard >> Appearance>> Menus >> From there add the category you want into the menu item then save settings. By doing this whenever someone clicks on the category menu item it will redirect the user to that specific category page.
Please refer to this screenshot: https://postimg.cc/4m1xnFf6
And then the shop sidebar having all the filters set will be displayed on that product category page as well.

PThemes Team.November 9, 2023 at 12:20 pm #3361Cool. Now things is starting to take shape :)
Hopefully the last question:
When I use the category link in the menu ( for example shoes) the page correctly displays only shoes. But when I try to filter the selection, for example by price, it filters correctly by price, but it shows all products.I see that the breadcrumbs go from HOME/SHOP/SHOES before using filter, to HOME/SHOP after using filter.
Is this as intended? It would be nice if I can stay at HOME/SHOP/SHOES even after using the filter.
Thanks again

November 10, 2023 at 11:03 am #3394Hello, @stianand,
Thanks for the access I have checked your issue on your site. Let me explain.
I have found that the shop page on your site is created custom using a custom layout that you created in Elementor. In this layout, you have used a filter widget and this filter widget works like this as it does now on the site. I have checked and confirmed that no option in the filter widget settings can help to achieve the way you want.
Now, to solve this issue you have to set the shop page layout with a sidebar. You can set this by navigating to the Dashboard >> Porto >> Theme Options >> WooCommerce >> Product archive >> From there you can set the shop page layout with a sidebar. After that go to the Dashboard >> Appearance >> Widgets >> In the “Woo Category Sidebar” simply add the filter widgets as per your need. Then check back to your issue by clearing the browser cache. I hope you will get the desired results. I have attached some screenshots below for you to understand better.https://postimg.cc/w3hRBrqX
