Hi,
I’m using custom menu assigned as a side menu. It’s showing in my sidebar as i wanted but.. i’d like it to be displayed only in my shop’s sidebar.
Unfortunately it’s also showing on my blog’s sidebar.
I can easily add/remove widgeds on both sidebars but cannot enable/disable or show/hide menu item
are there any options to handle this ?June 12, 2023 at 11:30 am #1608Hello, @hightower,
I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to bring to your attention an important matter regarding the menu in the sidebar of your website. As you may already be aware, the menu in the sidebar is implemented through a widget. However, it has come to my attention that the blog sidebar and the shop sidebar have different requirements.
To ensure that the menu widget is not displayed on the blog page, it is necessary to remove it from the blog sidebar. Unfortunately, the widget does not provide an option to selectively display the menu in this manner.
Should you encounter any difficulties in resolving this issue, I kindly request that you first create a complete backup of your site. Subsequently, I would appreciate it if you could provide me with the WordPress administration URL and access credentials via the private content area. This will allow me to investigate the matter and apply the necessary fix directly on your site.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. Should you have any further questions or require any additional assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out. I am here to help.
Best Regards,
PThemes Team.June 12, 2023 at 9:03 pm #1617Hi, thank’s for your reply
I’ve been assigning menu to sidebar via WP menu configuration.
When i try to adjust widgets on my sidebar manually, there is no menu widget visible. Therefore I can’t dissable/remove it from desirable sidebar. I’am aware of WP menu widget i can manually add but I preffer Porto side menu layout as it is set now.
All I need is no side menu in blog sidebar – if it’s possiblePrivate details provided in private area.
This field is Private Content.
June 13, 2023 at 9:28 am #1620Hello, @hightower,
I would like to express my appreciation for granting me access to the system. After reviewing the settings, it appears that you have configured the menu as a side menu, which automatically appears on the sidebar. However, it seems that you prefer it not to be displayed on the blog page.
To address this requirement, I have implemented a custom CSS code in the Porto >> Theme Options >> Skins >> Custom CSS >> section, specifically at the bottom of the black box. This solution successfully resolved the issue, as evidenced by the attached images.
