Hello, I’m currently trying to design the layout of many similar pages and I’m struggling to figure how to change the breadcrumb/logo/menu background photo to full width since the logo and menu items are not fully visible. Basically, I’d want the breadcrumb background photo full width, not contained while keeping the page content still contained. Where do I fix that? I tried messing around the Porto > “Theme Options” > “Layout” but it screwed up the home page and other pages but luckily I returned to original layout so I’m stuck.
I was told by p-themes to navigate to Porto >> Theme Options >> Layout and set:
Site Layout Mode as “Container”
Page Layout as “without sidebar”
Banner Wrapper as “Wide”My settings were already the same so I need help.

May 3, 2023 at 3:00 pm #993Hello, @seanh,
Thanks for providing the Login details, I have just logged in to your site and found the error when saving the theme options, please refer to this screenshot: https://postimg.cc/vcF2Gthv
First of all, you should have to solve this error and then apply the changes from the theme options.
Most of the time that issue is because of your server, It turns out the issue is that trying to save changes in the Porto Theme Settings is triggering ModSec rule 300015 for some reason, which is an SQL injection protection rule, so you have to disable this rule server-wide until you are in the development process, as the ModSec rule that was getting triggered is one of the standard WHM/cPanel rules as of one of the newer versions, so more and more servers are going to have this rule enabled by default.
So please contact your hosting provider and ask to solve it for you on your site.
Best Regards,
PThemes Team.May 6, 2023 at 8:34 pm #1045I reached out to Bluehost and they said they have whitelisted that rule ID now but wait for a little bit.
May 8, 2023 at 9:08 am #1048Hello, @hadlocksean,
I have again checked your site and this is what your site theme options look like: https://postimg.cc/gw3SVSVx
I suggest you, please try to disable all the third-party plugins on your site except Theme Required/Recommended plugins, and check back your site after clearing the browser cache, might be any additional/extra third-party plugins conflicting on your site and creating that issue. If this will resolve your issue then again you have to activate all the third-party plugins one by one and check which one is creating the issue on your site, and try to reach out to the Plugin Author for further help on this.
And if the issue will still persist then please remain all the third-party plugins deactivated on your site and provide me permission to debug your site which includes deactivating all the third-party plugins and on site Customization as well.
Note: Please take the complete backup of your site before following the above steps as that might affect your site.
Best Regards,
PThemes Team.May 8, 2023 at 4:21 pm #1051I have backed up the site with UpdraftPlus and started to deactivate some plugins but then I got completely blocked out with the same “Critical Error” message you showed me. So I had my hosting to disable the theme in order for me to access the plugins which I can but I don’t want to blindly deactivate plugins randomly because I don’t know which plugins are Porto’s required plugins and which are third-party plugins. I just emailed to [email protected] for a list of porto required plugins so I don’t touch them. If you can help too, that’d be great but otherwise, I’m waiting to hear from them at the moment.

May 15, 2023 at 10:39 am #1120Hello, @hadlocksean,
Thanks for your patience, we have solved your issue and now your site is back again with the very latest version of the Porto WordPress Theme and plugins. Please check back to your site again now after clearing the browser cache.
And regarding your main issue, I have found the cause of the issue as well.
Let me explain it to you.As explained by you in your very first message:
Site Layout Mode as “Container”
Page Layout as “without sidebar”
Banner Wrapper as “Wide”That is totally true and working perfectly fine, the issue on your site was because of the Header View, you selected it as “Fixed” and when you select it as Fixed it appears over the content, and that was happening on your site as well, actually the image has been set as the breadcrumb background image but not the header image, so I have chosen the Header as “Default” from Porto >> Theme Options >> Header and it worked. Now the site header is full width and you can change the header color from Porto >> Theme Options >> Header >> Styling as per your requirements, Please refer to the screenshots listed below:

PThemes Team.May 16, 2023 at 8:12 pm #1159While the header with the logo and menu are visible, I don’t want the black background and want to keep it transparent like before. Also the container for the header and the rest of the page and footer are too wide it’s not acting like a container anymore.
So a few things I want:
– Transparent background for header
– Page content (under the wide header/breadcrumb) to be contained without sidebar, not wide.
– Footer to be contained.
– Remove the cart icon at the end of “Book Now” on the Navigational menu.I noticed you changed to “Fluid” on Site Layout Mode, not “container” which you did suggest earlier. I tried to change it back to “container”, but then the page content and footer are freaking out so I changed back to fluid for now until this gets resolved.
I wanted my site to have the same page layout and header/breadcrumb like the Classic Video sample website you guys have (Please check this link so you know what I mean – https://www.portotheme.com/wordpress/porto/classic-video/). I’m not sure why mine is so complicated now than it was at the beginning.

May 17, 2023 at 11:10 am #1162Hello, @hadlocksean,
I wanted to provide you with an update regarding the issues you reported with our theme.
I’m pleased to inform you that the following concerns have been successfully addressed:
1. Transparent background for the header:
We have made the necessary adjustments to the theme’s CSS, and the header background now appears transparent. This change enhances the overall visual aesthetics of your website.
2. Page content without sidebar:
To fulfill your request of containing the page content without a sidebar, we modified the respective page template. As a result, your page content now appears in a narrower container, providing a more focused and immersive reading experience.
3. Contained footer:
We have ensured that your footer is contained within its designated area. This adjustment ensures a consistent and visually appealing layout across your website.
4. Removal of cart icon from “Book Now” in the Navigational menu:
As per your request, we have successfully removed the cart icon that was previously displayed at the end of the “Book Now” option in the Navigational menu.
Please take some time to review your website and confirm that these changes meet your expectations. If you encounter any further issues or have additional requests, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us. We are committed to providing you with a seamless browsing experience.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation throughout this process. We greatly appreciate your business and look forward to assisting you further.
Best Regards,
PThemes Team.May 22, 2023 at 11:56 pm #1282Sorry, but it does not look fixed. I feel it’s getting worse. I feel it’s best to just reset all the settings and also keep the pages I created. How do I do this?
I logged in wordpress on a safari browser and it looks so messed up. I logged in a Firefox and Google Chrome browser and it’s different but not what I wanted.
I WANTED MY WEBSITE TO LOOK LIKE THIS ONE —> https://www.portotheme.com/wordpress/porto/classic-video/
How do I reset the settings and keep the pages I created?
