What Is Flick Carousel?
The Flick Carousel is a new carousel type built into the Porto WordPress theme. It offers a more refined and responsive scrolling experience compared to standard carousels. Designed for simplicity and performance, it focuses on usability, smooth transitions, and modern design aesthetics.
As showcased in Shop Demo 44, the Flick Carousel is automatically enabled on screens wider than 992 pixels, making it ideal for desktop and tablet layouts.
How Flick Carousel Works
Using the Flick Carousel is straightforward and intuitive. It’s supported across most Porto elements that feature a slide or carousel option.
- Open your page builder
You can use either Elementor or WPBakery Page Builder—the Flick Carousel integrates seamlessly with both. - Add a widget or section with slide options
Choose any Porto element that includes a slider configuration (e.g., product sliders, image carousels, testimonials, or porto posts grid). - Enable “Flick Carousel” option
Under the Slider Options panel, Enable Flick Type. - Customize settings
Adjust navigation, autoplay, spacing, and visible items according to your layout preferences.

Sidebar Compatibility
Flick Carousel does not work well with sidebars.
If you’re using it on a page that includes a sidebar, it may cause layout issues.
Recommendation: Disable sidebars on pages using the Flick Carousel for best results. -
Layout Requirements
To ensure proper display and responsiveness:
- Set your page layout to “Container”, or
- Wrap the parent DOM element inside a container.
If you do not use a container layout, the Flick Carousel will behave as a default (non-flick) carousel.
Even when using a full-width parent container, the carousel’s width will still respect the container’s dimensions once Flick Carousel options are applied.
