The Porto Content element is a dynamic text block within the Porto Post Type Builder that outputs either the post content or a customizable excerpt from the current post or product. This widget is commonly used in blog grids, portfolio cards, product listings, event cards, and any custom post-type layouts where you need text-based summaries.
It is fully dynamic—meaning every post displayed in a grid or archive will automatically show its own content or excerpt based on your selected settings.
How to Use the Porto Content Element
- Open the Post Type Builder.
- Click the “+” Add Block icon in the top-left corner.
- Search for “Porto Content” in the block list.
- Insert it into your layout and adjust settings in the right sidebar.
- Use the Document Overview panel (top-left bar icon) to reorder or nest the widget as needed.
Once added, the element will dynamically pull text from the post being displayed in the loop.
Element Content Options

Content Display Type
- Excerpt - Displays a short summary of the post.
- Content - Displays the full post content (excluding content hidden by theme filters).
This setting determines how long and how detailed the text in the block will be.

Excerpt Length
Visible only when “Excerpt” is selected. This defines the number of words shown in the excerpt. This gives you tight control over text density in compact layouts.

Additional Custom CSS Fields
The widget includes extra fields for Custom CSS class, Custom CSS ID, Inline style input. This is useful when You need targeted styling, You want to animate individual image blocks, You integrate the element into advanced CSS frameworks.
